The FORM approach
Exercise rarely happens in perfect conditions. FORM helps you understand the thoughts, habits and pressures that shape what you do, then turns that insight into clear actions you can practise.
Ways to work together
Each service brings psychology into the real world: simple language, practical strategies and support shaped around you.
A focused starting point. Complete a detailed questionnaire, receive a personalised analysis and explore the findings through a private debrief via WhatsApp or a similar platform. You will leave with clear strategies to try, not just a description of the problem.
Start your analysisPersonalised one-to-one coaching to understand the thoughts, habits and pressures affecting your relationship with exercise — then practise responses that work better in real life.
Enquire about coachingPsychology support for performing under pressure, building confidence, sharpening focus and responding effectively when preparation or performance does not go to plan.
Apply for coachingOptional tailored training add-on
A tailored training package can be added to either Exercise Psychology Analysis & Debrief or Exercise Psychology Coaching. It brings the psychological work and your exercise plan together, with training shaped around your goals and circumstances.
How the work develops
The work is collaborative and practical. You will know what to try, when to use it and how to judge whether it is helping.
Identify what is helping, what gets in the way and what matters to you.
Turn that understanding into realistic strategies and a clear plan.
Apply the strategies during training, busy weeks and difficult moments.
Notice what changes, learn from the evidence and adjust the approach.

Psychology meets practice
Mike is a dual-qualified Sport & Exercise Psychologist and Personal Trainer. His work connects evidence-based psychology with the practical realities of exercise, coaching and performance. That means support can address both what you are doing and the thinking, habits and context around it.
Alongside FORM, Mike is a Senior Lecturer in Sport & Exercise Psychology. As a Sport & Exercise Psychologist, he has supported international athletes and professional teams, and he is a published researcher in the field. This blend of research, teaching and real-world practice keeps his support grounded in evidence and the realities of exercise and performance.
Your next step
